This notice applies to visitors and customers of our website azauro.com and to purchase and post-purchase handling for orders delivered within Ireland.
2. Data controller
Azauro is the data controller for the personal data collected via azauro.com. If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@azauro.com or +353 89 257 6880.
3. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data necessary to provide our services and operate our online store. Typical categories are:
- Account & contact data: name, email address, billing & shipping address, phone number.

We collect information directly from you (when you place an order, register an account, subscribe, contact us) and automatically via cookies and analytics tools when you visit our site.
4. Purposes of processing & lawful bases
We process personal data for the following main purposes and lawful bases under GDPR Article 6:
- To provide products and fulfil orders (contract performance): processing required to perform the contract you enter when ordering.
- To communicate about orders, deliveries and account matters (contract performance / legitimate interest).
- To process payments (contract performance / legal obligation where relevant).
- To comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records).
- To operate and improve our website and services (legitimate interests β e.g., security, fraud prevention, site analytics).
- To send marketing (newsletters, offers) where you have given consent; you may withdraw consent at any time. (Consent is a separate lawful basis when used.)

For more on lawful bases under GDPR, see Article 6 and DPC guidance.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, analyse use, and enable features such as cart/session persistence. On first visit you will be asked to accept necessary and optional cookies via our cookie banner; essential cookies required for the site and checkout will be enabled by default. You can change cookie preferences at any time. Analytics and marketing cookies help us improve the site and, where applicable, present relevant offers. (A separate Cookie Policy or cookie banner should list cookie types, providers, and retention β we can produce that for you.)
6. Sharing your data (third parties)
We share data with trusted service providers who help run the business, for example:
- Payment processors (to take and reconcile payments)
- Shipping carriers (to deliver purchases)
- Hosting and IT providers (to operate the website)
- Email marketing platforms (for newsletters where consent given)
- Analytics & fraud-prevention providers
We only share the data necessary for the service provider to perform its role and require written contracts that include appropriate data protection safeguards.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we will put in place lawful safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or rely on an EU adequacy decision, as appropriate, to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection. The European Commissionβs SCCs are the common solution for transfers outside the EEA.
8. Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy (for example, to complete orders, provide services, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations such as accounting and tax), and to meet legitimate business needs. Specific retention periods depend on the type of data and legal requirements; for example transactional records are retained in line with applicable accounting/tax obligations. If you would like a summary of retention periods we use, contact us at contact@azauro.com.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption for data in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. While we aim to protect your personal data, no internet transmission is entirely secure; if you suspect a breach affecting your data, contact us immediately at contact@azauro.com.

Under the GDPR you have rights in relation to your personal data, including:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
